L-taurine – an amino acid best known to the public from  energy drinks , which is why some may think that it is some kind of harmful stimulant. However, taurine is also added to energy drinks to reduce the unpleasant side effects  of excessive caffeine content .

Taurine is a conditionally essential amino acid that occurs naturally in the human body. “Conditionally essential” means that in some situations or under certain conditions such as in stressful situations or with increased physical exertion, the presence of taurine is eliminated and the body cannot produce taurine in sufficient quantities. Taurine is included in the vital functions of the human body. Taurine acts as an antioxidant that supports the detoxification of the body by binding to the harmful amounts that leave the body with it.

Taurine is also used as an antioxidant, reducing hypochlorite excretion by immune cells. Taurine also helps with osmoregulation (maintaining a balanced concentration of ions) inside the cell.

Other biological functions of taurine include participation in cell growth, membrane stabilization, sperm motility, bile acid thickening and transmission of nerve impulses. Taurine has a beneficial effect on sports performance, because it guards the level of insulin and thus enables a better supply of glucose to the muscles.

Amino acid participates in metabolic processes in the brain. It acts as a significant energy stimulant. Its presence in the body causes a delay in the feeling of fatigue during intense exercise. Taurine increases concentration and induces a general feeling of well-being. Supports body hydration during exercise. It is also credited with protecting the heart from damage, and has excellent antioxidant properties. It prepares the body for increased load. It supports blood flow to the brain and optimizes the transmission of nerve impulses.

Dosage: 3 capsules per day. The taurine content per dose is 2250 mg
